Therefore I am overwhelmed with the amount of with of tasks completed given the fact not so long ago I was far behind off my target of completing such tasks as editing and filming.
And so I feel that with my weekly target it has helped me to such an extent I have known where I'm at in terms of work and wether I have successfully reached my target.
On the other hand what has helped me to have so far constructed and produced this video profile, was the essential task of planning.
I started off by writing a script which was the foundation of my filming which also contains the following such as camera angles which are ideal in connecting me with the the audience, different scenes in chronological order helping me to construct my film without any difficulties and also my script contains what I'm going to say in the film effectively helping me to rehearse my lines and make the filming quicker without having to reshoot with such time constraints.
I feel my script has had such an influential effect on my video profile which has caused it to garner perfect reviews.
The program which also had another major influence on my video profile was final cut pro. The fact that it is simple to use and well known has also made it easier for me to complete tasks such as editing as if I were a professional. I also used such tools trivial but major tools as cutting footage and using effects, such as bad film, vignette and also screening. Final cut pro has also helped me convey my message to the audience by allowing me to put background music and tone down the volume when it is needed.
Another factor that has helped me with my filming was is the different types of shot I used as it was essential that I had used this since it has given my video a more professional look.
Shots used
close up: scene 8,10
over the shoulder: scene 12,17
wide shot: scene:1,1,2
medium shot:1,1,2
xtreme close up: scenes: 3,4,5,6 ,8,9,16
two shot: 15,14
Different types of shots I used and how I used them
The wide shot is essential in revealing where the scene is taking place. The wide shot gives me room to move within a shot, without the camera having to follow me. Medium shots and close-ups are often cut into a wide shot for variation. An establishing shot is a type of wide shot that can establish a building before the camera cuts to an interior office.
The medium shot
A medium shot (MS) is a standard shot that usually shows a character from belly button to slightly above the actor's head. A medium shot is more intimate than a wide shot, but provides more breathing space for the actor than a close-up. It's also used when you have an actor holding something in the frame or elaborating with his hands.
Two shot
A two shot can either be a form of a medium shot that has two actors standing or sitting next to each other(as seen in scene 14 and 15) or an over-the-shoulder shot where one actor's back or profile is closer to the camera than the other actor facing the camera (as seen in the scene 17). A two shot can save time and money when you have a dialogue scene between two actors by having them both in the frame as they carry on their conversation. The audience diverts their attention to each actor as they speak, instead of having the camera cut to individual shots of each actor speaking. This is also effective when two characters are walking and talking side by side in a two shot.
Close-up
A close-up shot (CU), or single, is usually from above a person's chest or the nape of her neck to just slightly above the top of her head (as seen in scene 8 and 10). If you get in closer, so that the actor's head fills most of the frame, you have a tight close-up. Going in even tighter, to a person's eyes or mouth, gives you an extreme close-up (as seen in 3,4,5, 6,8,9 16). They also reveal emotion in the eyes or the hint of a smile.
Creating my video has enabled me to gain essential skills and experience to progress in this course I have thoroughly enjoyed filming editing and watching my finished work . Through this experienced I have learned how to create a blog which has enabled me to get feed back from my colleagues giving me an insight on how good my video was from their perspective. All in all I feel I have achieved my target and finished my work to the extent of perfection as said by my colleagues.
